Residential sales for 2010 in British Columbia had their highest sales level in April 2010 with 8,385 units sold.
“Consumer demand continues to normalize alongside overall economic conditions,” said Cameron Muir, BCREA Chief Economist.
“However, the pace of growth in home sales experienced since last summer is likely to moderate in the coming months as tighter credit conditions and upward pressure on mortgage interest rates impacts affordability and purchasing power.”
The following table shows the actual British Columbia Real Estate Association (BCREA) total MLS residential sales figures for each month in 2010 along with the January 2011 sales figure.
